Foods to increase Brain Health and Memory Naturally
When it comes to regenerating the body or an organ, foods play a major role because we are what we eat. It is the real raw materials so you should first consider concentrating in that area. Choose healthy foods that give good nutrition to the brain cells or neurons. Avoid junk foods and other such things which destroy or deteriorate brain cell performance.
Avoid or Reduce Sugar and Salt, Refined Carbohydrates, Alcohol and Smoking
Sugar, Salt and Refined carbohydrates are very unhealthy and create many problems not only to the brain but all parts of the body. So either reduce it or if possible completely avoid it. Alcohol consumption and smoking also affect the brain in a negative way. So if you have either of these habits either control it or try to stop it.
Eat More Fruits, Vegetable and Anti inflammatory Foods
Fruits and vegetables are rich in nutrients and easy to digest too. Include more such foods in your daily diet and include more antioxidants and anti-inflammatory foods. Include more herbs and spices in your diet. Include ginger, garlic, turmeric, green tea, pepper, lemon etc in your daily intake.

Check your Vitamin D and Vitamin B 12 levels and if there is any deficiency then take supplements. Sunlight is the best choice to get Vitamin D. If it is possible daily 10-15 minutes exposure to sunlight is the best way to Vitamin D. Vitamin B 12 or multivitamin tablets are also good if you have such a deficiency. Taking Omega 3 or fish oil tablets is also a good idea because most of our today’s foods contain more omega 6. Flax seeds is a good source of omega 3 for vegetarians. Ginkgo biloba is also said to be very beneficial for brain health.

Physical activity is very important in maintaining brain health and overall well-being. Spend some time for the body daily to keep fit and maintain an ideal weight. That is very important. In today’s world we cannot live without multitasking and we are over stretching our brain cells. So getting enough sleep is very important. Try to get 6-8 hours of sleep daily.

You are not body, mind or intellect
Problem is we are super identified with body and mind and we think that we are body and mind. But in reality it is not. We are far above from that – consciousness. I supposed to be the master and mind, body, intellect etc slaves. But in our today’s life mind is the master and that is the reason for all problems. So reduce body and mind consciousness. Most of our thoughts are about body, mind, feelings, emotions etc. When we are detached from them, thoughts will automatically reduce. Detach from mind and observe mind – when thoughts come just allow it to pass without any attachment and judgement. Slowly thoughts will reduce. That is the best way to manage and reduce thoughts.
